So many mistakes...

I was at your Brooklyn branch with my girlfriend this Sunday (2017/07/30) at around about 2 PM. I must say the service we received was rather disappointing. We ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown Pretzel and asked for it to be split (cut in half) and served on 2 plates and the waiter assured us that it will be done. After waiting for about 15 minutes the meal was served by a different waiter, in 1 plate, without any knives or forks, so we sat there for about 2 minutes trying to get the attention of the waiters (2 flat out ignored us) to request knives and forks so that we may enjoy our meal. After struggling to slice the pretzel in half, we discovered that there was no "cheese sauce" on it (it was extremely dry), and politely asked yet another waiter to please correct the mistake. After disappearing for about 20 minutes, we got the pretzel back, now with the cheese sauce on it, but the rest of the dish was cold already and the bread was soaked in the sauce. It was my understanding that we would be getting a new plate... At this point, we both had little to no energy left to take the fight further, so we just swallowed our meals and asked for the bill. When receiving the bill our waiter apologised, they had run out sweets. The fact that we didn't receive any sweets didn't bother me as much as the fact that it was during peak hour and there should have been stock for the rest of the clients. Might I add that we were not the only table that received their meal without any utensils... There was also a rather lengthy meeting happening in the kitchen which I'm sure caused a massive delay in service delivery. All in all, it was a very bad experience. The service was poor, the quality of the food was poor, I really have nothing positive to say about the experience besides the fact that the waiter kept his cool and profusely apologised for the bad service. Please tell me this is not to be expected every time I visit your restaurant. Thank you.
