Size of cake

We are regular customers at Mugg and Bean and we enjoy there food mostly. A few weeks ago we decided to go to the newly opened Mugg and Bean just down the road, in Alberton. We ordered carrot cake. great was our disappointment when we got our order. The slices were half of the normal sizes we got at other Mugg and Beans. I normally can't finish my slice and take a doggy bag. however this one I could finish easily. we complaint with the waiter as well as the manager. the manager was firstly in a sense accusing us of lying about the size of the cake at other stores. She then said being a franchise they have a cutter that all other stores used to cut cakes. I am sorry that is not true - why will the one store give proper sizes and the other not if they use the same cutter? we went for coffee over the weekend to Alberton's store again and I watch and the lady was using a knife to cut the cake. The manager also took our number the first time and it has been almost a month after the incident and I am still waiting for a reply from her. Sorry but I would rather drive to another store even if the one in Alberton is less than 1 Km from home.
