Shocking breach of HSE standards - serving pieces of glass in the food - Mugg & Bean - Cradelstone Mall

Sunday 21 October - 10:42 time stamp on till slip - Mugg & Bean Cradlestone Mall - Gauteng

I was served a piece of glass approximately 1 x 0.5 cm in size in the shape of a triangle. I believe it was in the strawberry jam. Unfortunately I did not see it until I felt it between my teeth and pulled it out. Imagine my horror! What damage would this have done to my digestive system had I swallowed it?

The manager stood next to our table with a big smile on his face telling me he would make sure the "higher ups" got to hear about this but did not ask for any of my contact details. The owner who was on the premises and disappeared to the back refused to come out to speak to me and instructed the waitress to give me a discount instead.

Seriously?? This is a massive breach of your health and safety standards the very least you should have done is come speak to me personally!

I believe this kitchen should be closed before you serve any more of your customers an unwanted piece of glass! What if you had served it to a child who did not have the presence of mind to take it out of their mouth?

I am horrified firstly that it happened and secondly by the blase attitude with which this incident was treated.
