Pathetic service

I’m so disgusted by the behaviour of one of the staff at Mugg and Bean in Gateway. Yesterday I went there during load shedding to buy coffee. I had discovery points that were going to expire, so that is why I went there. I told this staff member that I wanted to order coffee and I showed him my Discovery voucher and his response was shocking, he said to me ‘on such a busy day’ and he left me standing there and he attended other customers. Clearly there is a hierarchy level when it comes to dealing with customers and yesterday I was right at the bottom. No matter how busy the restaurant might be you do not talk to customers like that. He came back and forth to the cash desk which I was standing right next to, but he never bothered to attend to me. He ignored me and did not have the courtesy to ask me if I had been assisted by another waiter. Even though there was load shedding, behaviour like that from staff is unacceptable, I work with customers myself and I know about customer etiquette. The name of the waiter is Charles. I’ve never been so disrespected like that in my entire life.
