Not good enough if you're only two people

A friend and I visited Mugg and Bean Rosebank Mall this Saturday morning. The restaurant and mall were busy and we were made to wait by the entrance to Mugg and Bean. When tables were available in the outside area (where passers-by can literally look you in the face whilst you eat), we were offered these, but decided to decline and wait for seats inside. (A group of people in front of us the same - asking for seats inside rather than outside). After waiting, we were taken to seats inside, only to find that these seats were practically inline with the stairs leading to the kitchen (i.e. constant waiters running past) and was placed in such a manner that the people seated at the table next to us might as well have shared the same table. When I saw a booth open up in the area downstairs, I told my friend that we should go and sit there. We therefore got up and went to sit at the booth - a lot more out of the way from the traffic, quieter and also a bit more private. We had barely sat down when a gentleman approached us and said he is sorry to be \rude"but we had to move back to the seats by the kitchen. Needless to say"
