No response for extended expiry date on gift card

I was gifted a R50 gift card. It expired 28.2.2021. I hadn't used it because I didn't have it in my purse when frequenting Mugg & Bean. I just happened to check the card on the night of 28.2.2021 and saw it was expiring that very day. I sent an email requesting an extension on 1.3.2021. I have sent numerous emails. Telephonically they said it would not be a problem. Of course, practically I am getting nowhere fast. Sent emails on 1 March, 3 March, 8 March, 23 March and 30 April 2021. And numerous telephone conversations inbetween, with empty promises that they would escalate. For a R50 gift card. R50! In these tough economic times, this is how you treat customers? Beggars belief. That said, I will no longer be a returning customer.
