Nightmare experience at Gateway - Mugg & Bean

This is a complaint about the bad service as well as the DANGER of dinning at Mugg & Bean GATEWAY. On the 3 January 2019 my boyfriend and I went to Mugg & Bean Gateway for breakfast. We sat in the corner against the wall, closer to the upper level stair case. As we sat and waited for our food, a salt and pepper GLASS BOOTLES fall from the above table. Both bottles fall onto my boyfriend’s head. I was so shocked by this, that I called the manager the same time to complain about what happen. He had no reaction, neither did he go and investigate how something like this could happen. All he says is that the customer moved the table. My opinion from interacting with the manager, it seemed like this happen before. I asked the manager the following, with no response: 1. Why are the tables so close to railing that something could fall of the table above onto you? 2. Why are customers moving the table upstairs, is there not enough space ? I am totally shocked by this. What if this happen to someone that was carrying a baby. My boyfriend was left with a bump on his head but these bottles falling on a baby's face from that height, would cause major injury. And what if the next time a knife falls of the above table? People sitting against the wall are in danger because this could happen to them anytime. If Mugg & Bean want to have tables close to the wooden railing, why not put mesh on it. That way if something falls from the upper level, it will not land on a customer’s head.

Complaint 2 When my meal was brought the creamy mustard cheese sauce was missing from the Welsh Rarebit Crumbed Chicken meal. The toast came with no butter. I asked the waiter about the sauce but he didn’t seem to understand me. I told him, go bring the menu I will show you what is missing. By this point I had enough of being at Mugg & Bean so I told the waiter, please can I get takeaway container and the bill. The waiter then brings me a takeaway container, were the lid of the container was dirty(I have a picture of this). So I call the manager again. I show him what the waiter gave me. The manager just says, it’s not nice that you are leaving without eating your meal can I offer you a takeaway coffee…which I rep**** NO. The manager got me another container and the bill. I understand that it was the busy period and the waiters are under pressure. But to make so many mistakes are unacceptable. For me I will not be dinning at Mugg & Bean again. Both the experience and the service was disgusting.
