Manager is a bit of a doosh and imp**** that my husband and I were *****. We had to pay for warm water and lemon. Wow! Really?? When people have less money now more than ever (covid, thieving, *********** government), famous brands wants to put their hands deeper into your pockets for the s****s, the last coins. So abhorrent. What was sipho's excuse you ask? It's on the condensed ' covid menu'. The 'covid menu' ?! ***??? We are regulars at various mugg and beans across pretoria and we have NEVER, EVER, EVER been charged for warm water and lemon. Again, ***?! So this sipho aka mike mogoda (so-called manager) fails to inform us of this *******, staff fails to inform us of this *******. It is not disclosed on any menu!! ***?! A competent manager that wants the client to return and to increase turnover in desperate covid times and who has an inkling about good service would have immediately apologised to us (and not insinuate that we were lying about never paying for warm water and lemon! ***! WHO CHARGES PEOPLE FOR WARM WATER AND LEMON??? That's right. mugg and bean jean crossing and apparently all mugg and beans should. Maybe all the other managers didn't get that memo...), immediately voided the charge, politely inform us that mugg and beans do or should be charging for iwarm water and lemon and mugg and beans that don't charge for warm water and lemon are in violation of whatever. It goes without saying that this ''manager '' is clueless and *********** and should be replaced or at least demoted. HE SPOKE OVER ME! I mean, who does that to a client?? Sipho does and thinks it's OK. The customer is always right is a phrase that exists for a reason! But this is lost on most people in this country. A sad and pathetic state of affairs. It also goes without saying that we will never return and never recommend this podunk mugg and bean to anyone that we know or will ever know. Not as long as mugg and bean perpetuates this kind of theft and for as long as sipho is allowed to 'manage'.
