M&B Table Bay mall let down

Yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to go for lunch at the Table Bay Mall M&B and were we very disappointed by the service delivery; as well as the quality of the food. I was so excited to go to M&B again as the one in our area closed down but was the whole experience at the Table Bay mall unfortunately a let down.

They received us well and we ordered drinks from our waitress but did she not return again after bringing our drinks. The restaurant was understaffed (maybe 2/3 people on the floor) and was there no awareness from the staff when the customers needed them. Once I received my bacon and cheese toasted sandwich, the sandwich had a smokey flavour due to being burned as well as my sweet potato “chips” being so hard as they were still raw. Each time we wanted to order drinks there was just no-one around and would we have to stand up to get a waiter’s attention. The restaurant was very quiet and do I not understand how this would happen if it wasn’t even during their peak hours. This is not the type of service I expected from M&B and have I supported M&B since my childhood. I will unfortunately not be returning to this branch.
