kicked out for raising a complaint

Good Morning

I went to Cradlestone Mall Mug and bean, Just to visit the area and have a good lunch there, new atmosphere, what could possibly go wrong. On my arrival, I ordered smokey pork and coffee, my partner got big daddy and coke. All was well. I ordered your millionaires cake to share, just wanted to try it out. The first three top layers were alright but the bottom two were over baked and dry. My partner managed to finish it, just to be polite, I did not, Unfortunately it was that bad, who eats dry cake, over baked. We paid the bill and added our 10% tip as usual. I asked for the manager. we greeted each other and I told him I did not enjoy your cake, it was dry for me and over baked. He said where is the left over piece, I said my partner manged to finish it, but you can go cut another slice and check it out. He said he will not do that and there is nothing he can do without proof and we should have a good day with a smack face. Then took off.

I sat down and ordered another piece of the same cake since he needed proof and turned down my suggestion the he goes cut a second slice. The people sitting next to my table had overhead the conversation and as we talked more they asked to taste the cake and I gladly shared it with them and they also agreed that the cake was dry and tasteless, and that is why they never order cake from mug and bean and I should do likewise. I had separated the cake from the frosting and ganache. So I called the manager again, same guy. I told him the cake is dry and the proof is in front of me. He asked why I ordered the same cake and why the other customers tasted it, and said it out that my I am causing trouble.

-He said he needed proof and could do nothing without the proof -He turned down my suggestion to go cut a piece to verify my story -I did not leave my chair to go find someone to taste my second slice, the other customers were sitting next to me and as we talked, they got comfortable and asked to taste, and shared their opinion with me. -He said he will not do anything about the matter and I should leave the premises and leave the cake behind, and not pay for my second slice. He wanted to take the cake with, but I said he should leave it behind. I waited for my partner as he had went to the bathroom then took pics. The customers sitting next to me and across our table were totally dismayed, the ones that tasted the cake even felt sorry for me and apologized on behalf of your staff, a customer apologizing on behalf of staff, how does that sound to you. We exchanged numbers too.

I believe I have the right to get the value of my money the moment I walk in mug and bean, and to complain and compliment when needs be.That is my right. I had a complaint, of which was mishandled and I had to take other measures and I did to bring it up to your attention. Me complaining means I want mug and bean to improve it's service.

I left since he chased me out of the store, He asked me to leave, there is nothing polite about that. You lost a handful of customers that day, me and my partner, and customers who saw how your manager treated me, those next to, across me, you name it. I went back to ask for the franchisees contact details, another manager attended to me. We sat down, he suggested the cake was freshly baked and they had sold five slices with no complaint, and that I rest my case, of which I refused.

I do not argue it was not freshly baked, my argument was over baked and dry. Some people like my partner can suck up tings even bad service just to be polite, and they do you a disservice. some customers may not say it, but will never order it again, like the customers who were sitting across me, go tell their friends, because they think they might get someone in trouble and some just get used to a place even with it's bad service for different reasons, shyness, good memories they once had at mug and bean you name it .But the fact that not one of the five never complained is not a certificate that the last two layers of the cake were dry and over baked. The ganache and frosting can also help dull the dryness of the cake which is why I separate it, to actually get the texture of the cake.

If raising my complaints at mug and bean means causing trouble, and gets me referred to as a trouble maker, and he called me that thing, as he pointed out I am a troublemaker, then so be it. I will not suck up bad service. My reason to complain was because I love mug and bean and I know for a fact it can do better, I enjoy the cheesecake there, I compliment it when necessary too.

I was chased away from your store and my heart is heavy. You can check your cctv to really see what kind of trouble did I cause and to also verify my story.I never left my chair until I left due to the fact the your manager chased me away. I do not think I will get over this anytime soon and ask that this matter be attended to ASAP.

I will follow up on this matter, and please find attached the pic of the second slice.and tell me if the bottom two layers look moist to you, and the uneven color of the sponges should tell you something

Let me know if you need other numbers to also check my story with other customers.
