Horrible service

My family and I received the worst service on Tuesday 21/12/21. We were the first table on the outside seating, our waiter was just rushing past us, he never even bothered to ask us how our food was, he didn’t bring any serviettes with the food, we had to ask other waiters for serviettes, when he finally cleared our table after eating, he didn’t clear out everything, we needed to order desserts, we had to ask one of our sons to get menus and got assistance more than 30minutes later by another waitress who also just took an order from my other son. Another waitress finally came and took our dessert orders and our own waiter came to serve us the desserts, no apologies from him whatsoever as if to show us that the behaviour was deliberate. When we left our table was still clattered with glasses that we used to drink from when we arrived, dishes from the main meal and dessert. As a result almost all people that found us there had left before us. This was something I had never encountered before regardless the time of year and it was not that busy at all! We don’t always get the perfect service as we would wish for but today’s service was exceptional and it felt like a collaborative effort from the staff. We would excuse some unsatisfactory service and still tip waiters generously as we always do whenever we dine out but I’ve never in my life experienced something like this! As a result we felt that he didn’t deserve any gratitude from us for the service he had rendered and we only paid R850,00 for what we had eaten.
