Food Poisoning at Mugg & Bean CT International Airport. Mugg & Bean is one of my favourite spots but not on 21 May 2024 at the Airport up the escalator in the departure area. I had a vegan sandwich with a friend who was departing for Dubai. He mentioned that he did not feel well but did not have my experience feeling unwell the evening, being violently ill the next day and landing in hospital. After being discharged, I called and spoke to the manager (Charmaine) who apologised and asked me to please forward the hospital statement to them and they will settle the account. This did not take place. It was passed on to the Ops Manager and I was told that they can’t speak to me and I need a lawyer to communicate with them. This I did. It’s now - 5 months (23 Oct) later and I got told that I will not be getting any support for the trauma in hospital due to the food poisoning that spiked my chronic condition causing much concern to the doctors. Mugg & Bean’s manner in dealing with my experience has been very disheartening and that was officially my last meal at Mugg & Bean with my family & friends joining me. Food poisoning for a person with no chronic illnesses is one thing but having the experience I had and being ill for more than a month from the experience is another!
