Food poisoning

Brooklyn Mall Mugg and Bean: 7 November 2022 10 am My cousin and I got together for a happy celebration at M&B - we informed the amicable waitress about the joyful occasion and she was all smiles. She suggested eggs benedict for me and the beautifully presented food was there in double quick time. Unfortunately, in the fifteen or so minutes that it took us to get to my hotel, my stomach erupted. The diarrhoea was the worst that I have ever had. It was torrential and unremitting. I had an important official annual literary event to attend from 4 pm that went on till around 11 pm. The hotel staff were worried that I would not be able to attend but I am a medical doctor and author so I treated myself. On the morning of 8 November I informed Mr Maxwell, manager of the M&B restaurant about the calamity. I sent him photographs that we had taken. He said that he remembered us and was very sorry about what had happened. I explained that I had phoned him because I was concerned about what might happen to other patrons; was it the food or perhaps a staff member who was ill? I was really very ill on 7 November because of the food at his restaurant. He promised to investigate and get back to me. Unfortunately he never did.
