Bad service and ****** in Mugg and Bean Victory Park

On the morning of 2nd March 2022, my husband and I went for breakfast at Mug & Bean Victory Park Shopping Center.

We were served by Abram. I ordered Sweet Corn fritters stack. While eating, I had bite something like sand on my food, i ignored it as I thought it was black pepper. It happened 2nd & 3rd, I call the waitor to tell him about what I was experiencing in the food and showed him the small stone sand like from the plate of food on my hand. I asked him of the source of their herbs? He said from the container with water, he agreed that it might be sand. He immediately called the manager. A white woman came to our table and asked what is the problem? I told her everything then she took my plate of food without apologies or any emphatic sense. Few minutes later, she came back to ask if the sand is from the avo or the herbs? How would know as this happened 3 times on the same plate of food. Waited for about 15 mints, with no response from them, then we request for our bill, noticed it was only for my husbands meals it excludes mine,

Beckoned on the waitor to express our dissatisfaction of the service we received.

The cost of my meal was only taken off the bill without saying anything or any explanation mere courtesy of apology.

But rather displayed the sense to imply is all about the money to be paid but it wasn’t about the money but the poor services rendered from their kitchen.

On request to speak to the manager again. The same woman came and we told her that we are not happy about the way we have been treated by their shop or is it to say because we are the only black in patron in the shop that day.

Without apology or remorse, she rudely said they are still investigating. She walked away from our table to call her husband apparently owning the shop and Co-manager, we rhetorically explained to him our dissatisfaction on the services they offered us, what we expected was just an apology not adjusting the bill without saying anything.

He got upset, jungles the bill from my husband's hands, squash the bill and told us to **** off his shop. Using the “K”word they both exchanged words and he told the wife to call security. The wife on the other hand apologized to the other white customers and told them that we are making a scene. We told her that she's got a nerve to apologize to other customers but because we are black we don't deserve their apology. We gave the waitor a tip, the owner / male manager grabbed the money from the waitor and throw it to us. We left it there, he then followed us forcing my husband take the money and shouting at him, while the security was approaching, we tried to walk away from the scene but this so called manager continued to follow us and gave the tip meant for the waitron to the security. The security followed us to the parking in an attempt to force the money tip on us which we refused anyway.

This was so absurd experiencing ****** in our country as black people in Mugg & Bean store.

It will only be fair to afford Mugg And Bean Victory Park Linden to respond to this awkward treatment as the authorities before further steps might be considered.
