No water at Muddy Princess
The non-mud obstacles fell flat. Many of them felt a bit uninspired, almost like filler, and it really seemed like more effort could have gone into making them engaging or at least on par with the mud elements.
A major concern was the water situation. There was only one cup of water available on-route, and by the time we reached most of the water stations — during the 12:00 slot, in the middle of summer, at 30°C — they were already out of water. That’s not only disappointing but potentially unsafe in that kind of heat.
Another issue was the lack of showers or even a simple spray-down area after the event. Being completely drenched in thick mud with no way to rinse off made leaving the venue uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Overall, it was a great day out with friends and we did have a lot of fun. But for the ticket price, I feel the organisers could have done much better in making the overall experience more enjoyable and better thought-out.
