Worst Mistake Renting from M&T

Worst mistake you can make is moving here. Or anywhere that M&T Developments are involved. They even get people to post positive reviews on google to try and make them look good. Review M&T and associated businesses like Fungi Utilities & TPN Credit Bureau thoroughly and here on Hello Peter and speak to the residents living at these sites before even considering moving there.

M&T Developments part of JR209 Investments owned by the Tsai Family (Michael Thompson Tsai) who also just ‘happens’ to be a director of Fungi Utilities which is used at M&T Developments. I won’t even get into the mess that is Fungi Utilities, research them there’s a lot to find on how ill equipped they are. Expect to pay double utilities you are used to and they can’t provide you a way of tracking your usage. The only thing you can see is the amount of money being deducted, no usage indicator.

Since moving in here in July 2024 there has been 1 washing machine and 1 dryer at the “laudromat” and I’ve been told since then ‘they are getting more’. Moving out after a year, they still had one of each and announced that the laundry will be closed effective 07 July 2025.

Wrt sanitation/ ******* bins. There is one standard 240 liter wheelie bin for one block. One block consists of 6 flats (each flat can accommodate up let say 4 people more or less). There are 3 blocks together. So 18 flats with +-72 people that are meant to dispose of their waste in three of these bins (one for each block). When moving in I was also told that they would get more. Again, a year later, moving out. This still has not changed.

Brenda Burmeister in charge of financials at this property is an absolutely horrible woman. She is extremely rude and she seems incapable of doing her job. And cannot even speak to you decently. Speaks volumes for the type of people working at M&T.
