Msunduzi Municipality Meter readings section.

A couple of weeks ago I received my electricity account for April-Approx R3800. This is not payable until the 30th April. Today I receive another one for April bringing that R3800 forward as an 'outstanding balance'. The new account is at the increased tariff but BACKDATED to the 15th April and goes (estimated) to the 15th May, This account is for R9000!!!! We along with everyone else in this dumb*** municipality have been charged twice for the last two weeks of April-once at the old rate AND once at the new rate. Ratepayers are already paying an outsider R100 a month for fixing potholes here and another R100 a month for cleaning verges in this ward, that belong to council. How these people get away with it I do not know-dumb as a box of bricks they are. I can see why people sign up for lawyers 'on tap' because you're constantly having to fight with NON service providers-they provide nothing for your money.
