Msunduzi supposedly supplies power to the Hilton area but it does so sporadically. Its billing system is extremely inefficient - in the past year it has been unable to send statements between February and June 2017 and then again since November 2017 until now. Customers are told to phone and get their balances, however the phones are never answered. They are however extremely quick to charge interest on arrears statements as well as call-out fees for cutting off electricity (which were charged twice in my case although the cut-offs never actually happened). Clearly another municipality in a shambles with nobody accountable or able to assist.
