De***** by Msunduzi municipality

I haven't received any utility statements from the municipality, so I decided to pay an amount that I thought was sufficient to cover the bill. Then I received a statement showing that I owe over R10000.00. I sent them an email with bank statements as proof to show that I have been paying even though I didn't know how much the bill was. They never responded to my email but read them. Then they sent people to my house to disconnect because the bill was now over R14000.00 which I find very unfair and I have never seen anyone come to take the meter readings since I have been working from home.
