MSC MUSICA
We recently sailed on the MSC Musica from 27–30 March 2025, booking a suite with the Aurea Experience expecting a premium cruise. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations.
Issues included:
Delayed child pass armband — only delivered the next day.
Beverage availability was shocking: several popular drinks were unavailable across multiple bars and days (e.g., Tipo Tinto, Spiced Gold, Chardonnay, KWV 5-Year, sparkling wine, and even Coke Zero).
Wine list issues: not scannable via app, unavailable at restaurants, and staff admitted they were hiding it or unable to provide stock info.
Security concern: a visibly drunk and aggressive guest disrupted a theatre show. Despite multiple complaints, security took official statement two days later.
Minibar not stocked (no chips or biltong) and we were told no re-stock available, and our MCC add-on didn’t include MCC – just a generic sparkling wine instead.
Dining issues: poor lunch service (served starters and mains at once), soft-serve unavailable after 29 March, and kitchen rushed us out.
Check-in confusion: staff didn’t understand the express pass system, and we were told to “go stand in line.”
Several staff admitted these issues were because it was “the last cruise of the season,” which is unacceptable given the premium price we paid.
I emailed MSC Cruises after our return and received no response, which is why I’m posting this publicly. I hope MSC takes responsibility and addresses these failures — not just for us, but for future guests.
