MSC Cruise - Vaccination policy

Five of our family members are booked for the cruise to Namibia from 18 - 24 January 2022.

On 10 October 2021, MSC sent an email that vaccinated and unvaccinated people are welcome on the cruise. On 4 December 2021 MSC sent another email saying that we must be fully vaccinated 14 days before we board the cruise. Now please explain to me how I am supposed to be fully vaccinated 14 days before the cruise on 18 January 2022 if we were only informed on 4 December 2021??? If I went for my jab on 4 December 2021, then I am only eligible for my second jab on 15 January 2022, ONLY 3 DAYS BEFORE THE CRUISE! The notification was sent out too late to inform us that we had to be fully vaccinated 2 weeks before the cruise. MSC should have informed us at least two months before the cruise so that we would had enough time to get vaccinated. This is an error on MSC’s side, and not mine, but now I am being penalised for this. The call centre said that there is nothing they can do about it, I have to reschedule the cruise. We have been waiting nearly two years for the cruise to happen! This is not fair, as it is MSC’s fault and not mine. If I had known this before the time, I would have opted for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but by the time I received the email from MSC, I had already gone for my first jab on 1 December 2021. I am only eligible for the second jab on 12 January 2022. I went to the vaccination site this morning, but they are not able to assist me. The system says I am not eligible for the second jab yet.

So because of an error on MSC's side, I have to cancel my cruise. Again.
