MISSED THE CRUISE, NO EXCEPTIONS

After retiring last year, going on a MSC Cruise was my gift to myself.<br> I saved and planned and was super exited, only to be disappointed because we were not allowed to board. We arrived on King Shaka airport at 10:30, leaving the airport at 11:00, as suggested on the MSC website. Who knew Black Friday was going to tie Durban into a tight traffic knot. Traffic was moving so slowly, we were able to see the harbour and even the SHIP, but we were not moving. We tried to phone MSC various times to absolute no avail. Eventually we arrived on the dock, but as we were coming down the ramp with our luggage, the guard closed the gate, informing us that the gates close at 13:00 sharp.<br> There were more than 30 people in the same predicament. What difference would 5 or 10 minutes have made to you? It caused me a lot of heart ache, tears and frustration. No-one arrives late for a cruise ship because of tardiness or bad planning. People save and plan for this for years.<br> Since then I have not been able to find any one at MSC who would even listen to my problem.<br> All I ever wanted was to go on a MSC Cruise, and now that I could finally afford it, I am stopped by MSC red tape.
