Horrible MSC cruise to Portuguese Island

The cruise to the Portuguese Island was horrible. The ship left the Durban port late and MSC did not inform guests why it left late. Following this it took 2 days to get to the Island and when we asked they said it’s because of rough weather. Then the ship unbelievably took a day to get back to the Durban port which is a bit funny because the weather was the same going to and coming back from Portuguese Island.

When the shop was near the Portuguese Island there were no small boats which transport us to and from the Island plus the strong wind the captain mentioned was not that and most people where also questioning the “strong wind”. Seems like we were taken for a ride and it’s a shame that MSC clauses protect themselves regarding refunds / partial refunds for such matters. I mean if a plane takes off and there is something wrong 2 hours within the flight, the captain flies back to the airport it departed from and passengers are liable for refunds or vouchers for another flight later on.

I recommend other cruises except MSC. I was on the same cruise to Portuguese Island before and that one was way better than this one we went to on the 16-19 Dec 2022
