High expectation met with mediocre cruise

We did a 7 night cruise on Msc sinfonia in December 2015. It took us 2 hours to embark, mainly due to families as the passport control had to check all childrens documentation. There should be a separate line for couples and singles to speed up the process.Positives were the staff were friendly and professional and you are kept in the loop of whats happening throughout the cruise. Issues we had was around cleanliness of some stuff such as towels in room were stained, changed twice. Cutlery and crockery were not very clean in buffet areas, especially mugs still had coffee and lipstick stains after washing all the time.<br> The entertainment was poor, a few good short acts but in general boring and mediocre. Excursions planned for ons**** stops are a *******. More than double what it costs on the island, 23 dollars vs 8 dollars. Also there isn't much entertainment for adults during the day, there is normally a 45 min presentation or game around 11h30 and 15h30 and the rest is up to you. There isn't enough space for everyone to be around or in the little pools so you have to find creative ways of keeping busy during your stay. 7 night cruise not recommended for active people...
