Damaged Luggage: R395.00 refund for 2 suitcases

2 of our suitcases got damaged by MSC on our recent trip. We were handed a claim form by MSC and was told that this will be taken care of by Hollard Travel Insurance. I've submitted a claim to Hollard together with a replacement quote from luggage warehouse. Hollard then asked me for a report from the supplier stating the damage to the bags. I took the bags to dealer and received a report stating that the two suitcases has been damaged beyond repair. This was submitted to Hollard together of pictures of the suitcases. I had numerous phone calls with them after this. They told me that they cannot see the damage I referred to on the pictures taken and I told them them that the pictures will not show the detail as the hard casing of the suitcase has been shattered and the only way for me to show that on a picture is to cut the bag open. I was told not to do that as I would then have damaged the bag. After weeks of back and forth I received an letter this morning stating that they are willing to pay me R895.00, deduct an excess amount of R500.00 which then leave an amount of R395.00 due to me. The quote to replace my bags with the same quality of suitcases from the dealer was R10,000.00 for both suitcases. How on earth is one suppose to replace your suitcases with R395.00 MSC do not care about this as they already has been paid and the rest of the problem is yours to solve. This experience leave a really bad taste in our mouths and we will not recommend MSC to anybody. Infact we will go viral with this experience. We really did not ask for much. Just want to get your damages occured on their account taken care off. Instead you got treated like a ******** by Hollard. One cannot even buy a toiletry bag for R395.00
