Must i do their job for them? Then they must pay me

They worked with my lawyers as correspondent attorneys, they app**** for default judgement just as it was granted the court lost the file and nothing was done for four months, so i sent a complaint to the legal ombudsman and all of a sudden the file was found, so it took a call to the ombudsman to give them a four month wake up call. I shouldnt have to do their job why didnt they sort it themselves? Now they dont want to take responsibities for their errors.
