I Demand a Refund and Compensation
Good day, MSA Model Management
I cannot deny my dissatisfaction with this agency in regards to not one cancellation, or two, but multiple cancellations of my model assessment - which I have already paid R500 for.
I am a full time university student, part time volunteer at the Cheetah Outreach and busy with the President's Award. By no means do I actually have the time or money to waste.
I have app**** to MSA Model Management months ago. My original date I app**** for was on the 10th of January at 11:45. In preparation for this, I bought the required clothing which totalled to R2 000. I touched up my roots, shaped and tinted my eyebrows, and tinted my eyelashes. This was another R1 000. No one contacted me to say that the branch is still being setup. Only the morning of my appointment, my father phoned just to confirm the appointment, where then it was made aware that my assessment is cancelled.
Then my model assessment was moved to the 26/01/2018 at 11:25. Yet again, I touched up my roots, shaped and tinted my eyebrows, and tinted my eyelashes. Yet again, this totalled to R1 000.
Then the MSA Model Management Agency rescheduled the appointment for the 9th of February at 14:20. In this email, the Agency states that it is "the last and final reschedule." I have this in black and white. Therefore, the agency made me a promise that they so clearly could not keep.
For your, information the MSA Management agency even states that if a model is late, they'll be charged an extra R50 for every 10 minutes they are late. Yet they contradict themselves by rescheduling 4 times not even within 24 hours and sometimes does not even let one know about the rescheduling. So where is my extra R50 for every 10 minutes late?
I live in Gordon's Bay with my single mom. It is reasonably far away from Cape Town. My appointment was scheduled for tomorrow at 14:20. Therefore, I had to get days off from my course and volunteering, which I am very serious about, in preparation for my assessment tomorrow. Yet again, I spent R1 000 on touching up roots, shaping and tinting eyebrows, and tinting eyelashes. Since we live far away, I especially booked a night at a local guesthouse. The two days and one night cost me a lot - R500.
I demand a refund and compensation for the waste of my time and money. Regardless of the assessment fee, I have spent R5 500. My poor single mom sc****d all of this money together for me, so that I could have an opportunity for success. I feel so guilty to have wasted so much of her money.
But regardless of the severe financial dent, so much of my precious university and volunteering time has been wasted.
Yet again, the MSA Model Management Agency cancelled my appointment for tomorrow and rescheduled it for the end of the month due to Ultra. I do not find this a valid excuse.
This agency has rescheduled 4 times with me. This is not on by any means. Therefore, I demand a full refund and compensation. If not, I will make this behaviour very public and take legal action. If I do not get my refund and compensation, I will go to the Sun Newspaper and any other local newspaper and ask them to publish this specific letter. You have messed with me in so many regards, the least I can do is warn fellow models. I have already complained about this Agency on Hello Peter.
Rescheduling 4 times is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. But what makes it worse is that this agency only lets me know late afternoon a day before or on the morning of my assessment that it is being rescheduled. In the business world, it is mere courtesy to let one know two weeks beforehand.
Therefore, I am thoroughly unimpressed with how I have been treated. No respect.
Regards Skye
