I am trying to obtain a cancellation letter from these people from , but still I haven't receive anything. I have sent numerous emails to different email addresses, phoned them, but with no response. In the meanwhile, on my credit report it is still showing I'm under debt review and no one can help me unless these people send me a cancellation letter.
Dear Likho
Kindly be advised that your withdrawal request was forwarded to attorneys who can assist you with your request. You must understand that a legal process should be followed when withdrawing from debt review. Please read below:
If client requests to be cancelled from debt review prior to a court order is obtained:
Response: Kindly be advised that in accordance with the NCR withdrawal guidelines of 2015, the following is applicable:
1. Consumers can only withdraw or terminate the debt review process prior to declaration of over-indebtedness as per section 86(7) of the Act and issuance of Form 17.2 subject to payment of debt counseling fees as per NCR Debt Counseling Fee Guidelines.
2. If a determination is made and no court order is in place, the consumer will remain under debt review unless a consumer is no longer over indebted and an order or court is obtained to this effect.
3. A debt Counselor will notify the credit providers of the withdrawal by means of Form 17.W and update DHS with status G.
However, we will forward your request to attorneys who will call you shortly should you not have your own
We are also advised by the attorneys that they can't get hold of you telephonically so that they can send you documents which you must commission and send back with a copy of your ID, latest payslip and proof of address not older than 3 months.
They will contact you soon again.
Kind Regards
