monies getting lost

I'm currently on debt review, last year I was contacted by msa consultants to offer debt review services of which I accepted. now after reviewing the statements from the creditor, I notice the pda has been making incorrect payments to the creditor who in turn has charged more interest that seems to increase the amount that im owing every month. the statement from the pda is showing the correct amount but the statement from the creditor is showing different value which lesser than what prescribed to the debt counselor.

Dear Thabiso

You initially listed three accounts under debt review. One of the accounts had to be excluded because it was fairly a new account.and was not eligible for inclusion under debt review unless you were willing to pay the contractual installment even though it was listed under debt review. You then agreed that the account be excluded. You then paid up one of the remaining accounts. Thus leaving us with only one account listed. We have an agreement with this creditor for an amount of R1685.37 to be distributed monthly. However, we distribute R2809.00 to them on a monthly basis.

thank you for the reply, i have already sent a query on that email address. what you replying is understandable hence capitec debiting the R1685.37 however that amount was supposed to have been adjusted to R2809 on the statement also.....it seems capitec hasn't received the instruction to change the installment from R1685.37 to R2809. please also advise why there is an additional charge for the legal fees even though i have already paid for those fees when i initiated the debt review on the first month.

Dear Thabiso

I'm Not aware of any additional legal fees charged by us, however, there are monthly PDA fees that are charged by the Payment Distribution Agency(PDA) for distributing the funds accordingly to all of your creditors.

Then there are monthly after-care fees that are also charged by the company for handling your file and making sure that everything is up to date and also to handle queries from respective parties. This fees is 5% of your monthly installment or a maximum of R400 for the first two years then it gets reduced to 3% from the third year onwards.
