In 2017 I have received a call from MSA Consultant regarding a debt review, they explained to me about their program and on how they could help with my account to reduce my installment, They asked for my ID number to check for how much they could reduce my installment by, I was interested in the program and I asked the consultant to get back to them as I need to think about this.
few weeks passed and a consultant contacted me reminding about the program and that I need to send them a copy of my ID with my signature on it in order for them to send the request to my creditor, I made it clear with the consultant that I am not interested in that program, They kept sending me the reminder to email, or whatsapp the copy of my ID but I ignored, till a month end of that year when I saw my statement that both my creditor and MSA have deducted from my account. I have contacted MSA to cancel that as I have not signed anything with them in regards.
They have stopped deducting on my account and I have continued to pay my personal loan with Nedbank in a normal way. Last week that I went to get car finance and it showed that I am under review.
I tried calling MSA and they told me that there is nothing that they could do on their side as I have to pay my account and they will provided a clearance letter.
I called my bank, and they told me that on their side they have declined the MSA request and my account does not show that I am under debt review.
