debt review cancellation

This company convinced me to join them(OCTOBER 2016 towards month end) and they told me they will reduce my instalments by certain amount. I agreed on the fone and gave them my details as they requested but when I get home my wife told me was not a good idea I must cancel that. Ok I did like she said, I called them I told them I want to cancel and that was before they started with any debit. One of their consultant I can't remember the name she said I need to pay a cancellation fee of R300 in order for them to do the cancellation which will take less than a month.She gave me the banking details I did like she told me and faxed back the proof of payment and made a follow up to make sure that they received that, it was confirmed that they received it but it up until today my name is under debt review I don't know what to do anymore because I followed all the procedure they asked me for but nobody is helping me
