BULLYING AT PRESCHOOL

This email is to lay a complaint and report against Ms Motts Motherland Preschool: REG NO. ***.

Our daughter has been attending this crèche for almost 4 years and she has brought it to our attention as of last year that she has been bul****. Multiple times we have addressed this with the Teacher and Principal who advised us they will address it accordingly. We have gone to the crèche on numerous occasions and also spoken well to the kid who has been bullying our child. 3 months again we noticed that our daughter has become very disturbed by the bullying on a daily basis to a point where she was crying daily after we picked her up from crèche. We realized that a child won’t cry this bad and complain so much if the bullying was not getting serious.

We then went to the crèche on Monday 12 November 2018 to address this matter with our daughter, the child bullying her and the teacher. We did not scream at the child but addressed the child in the presence of the teacher. The principal of the crèche then grabbed our daughter by the arm and chucked her badly out of the crèche in front of the teachers and other learners and said she must get out of her crèche because its normal behavior the kids do bully each other.

Our child was being bul****, we followed the correct procedures to address it accordingly as a child has rights NOT to be bul****. She then gets thrown out of crèche because we address the issue and then gets deprived of learning and gets bul**** on by the Principal.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND THIS MATTER NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED URGENTLY.

Steps we have taken to address the bullying and as she has a right not to be bul****.

• Made time to speak privately with the teacher and Principal • Calmly presented our concerns joint issue for you both to deal with. • Discussed the problem with the teacher and Principal. • Kept in touch with the teacher and Principal on this bullying Bullying still did not stop • Kept records of what happens and when. • Wrote communication notes to the teacher saying that the bullying is still going on. • Problem was not getting any better time, and we spoke to the preschool director who then grabbed and threw our daughter out of the crèche • We then advised her were are going to report Her and take the crèche further.
