NO RECORD OF CONTRACT

I have been renting Dvd's from this store for many years, always taking contracts. The last one was for R150.00 and we only rented 1 dvd (Dark Shadows). The ladies that worked there always used to write the codes of the dvd's we took with the contracts in a red file next to my telephone number & description of the contract took that was in the file. The 2nd last time I went to hire dvd's, a man whom I have never seen before was working there. When I told him that I wanted the dvd's to go off my contract, he asked my telephone number, checked on the system and rep**** that I had no contract. I told him about the red file that they always write it in. He knew nothing about such a file. He refused to rent me the dvd's and said that the new owners are taking over the next day and that I must speak to them. A few days later, I went to the shop again and spoke to the gentleman working there & explained the whole situation. He wrote down my name & number in his book and assured me the manager would phone me to sort this out as they have had many queries from customers. To date, no one has phoned & I paid R150.00 for a contract I cannot use. Unacceptable!
