Refund.
Hi, I purchased a TV from Mr Shopper. Wish I had read the reviews first - they are unsettling. I would like to cancel this order and request for a refund. I tried contacting /emailing the support team to no avail.
Can someone please assist on how one goes about getting a refund ?

02 Dec 2020, 11:10Hi guys,
So I ordered a TV from Mr. Shopper & after going through the reviews from other customers, I felt very unsettled. I proceeded to try to get a hold of Mr Shopper- to no successful avail. What's worse is that I could no longer log in to my account or track my order. Apparently the system was "crushed" - this information was relayed by their online support group consultant, Leander. I then started panicking thinking that my money was surely looted and could not track what I had paid for. I made countless attempts throughout the course of the day as well as evening to reach anybody who could assist. The call centre number provided on the system is automated. There will never be an answer. You will waste time and a lot of money trying to find a competent human to assist. I was determined to get back my money so I resorted to calling Payfast- the company that I paid through. The agent was extremely helpful and I explained my situation to him. He had told me that they would need authorization from Mr Shopper to go ahead with a refund.. well, based on Mr Shopper's Shopper's prompt and efficient service, I could expect for a refund.. never. I then started panicking even more, knowing this is impossible. Tired, emotional and ready to throw in the towel, I attempted one more time - speaking to their robotic agent online (who I'm sure is the ******* behind this operation). The operator was so scarce, her responses were nonchalant - she kept telling me "we cannot fast forward your refund because we have a list of al customers who request a refund. All customers are equal." I was so appalled by her nerve, mainly because I've read through reviews from other disappointed customers, who have probably given up hope - waiting for a refund for months on end, only to find out they're on some never ending imaginary list- controlled by an automated system that cannot be trusted. I asked the "virtual" agent if the company is a ****. She, I'm assuming, rep**** "nop, we re not." amazed. I then asked for the accounts department contact number ( ***) - this person surprisingly contacted me back, he sounded extremely ***** over the phone. He said he was told I am requesting a refund. I was in no mood to explain myself so I bluntly said yes. He said he is loading my refund on his side and I will receive email confirmation once complete. At this point, you could be certain that: A- I did not believe it and B- I was too tired to bother. Moments later, I receive an email from payfast confirming the refund and furthering the date of the release of funds into my account. all information was valid. I even phoned to make double sure.
I'm somewhat surprised, confused and extremely grateful that I somehow managed to tackle this situation - the uncer*****y surrounding the fact that I may have never received the item and my money altogether. This online shopping idea is a good idea - when buying from a reputable retailer or company. Mr.Shopper cannot and should never be trusted. I was just a lucky fish that swam away, financially intact. For all the potential shoppers, STAY FAR AWAY. There is obviously a reason the prices of items are marked down so drastically. These items probably don't exist. This Micky Mouse company is **********. They are not established nor professional- please, I urge you to keep your wallets sealed. scroll past this site - report it if you need to, spread awareness about the fabrication and web of lies this dingy place prides itself in - and most of all, PRAY that justice is served.
