Product sold out whilst in Cart

I wanted to order an item that was priced at R999 I put it into my cart, entering my delivery details and wanted to pay with my card and it told me item out of stock! They support contacted me and advised stock within 5 days but then how can one add an item to cart and then it gets sold out! Really really disappointed
