Mr Shopper / Pelican Express - paid nothing received

I purchased a PlayStation 4 console as a gift for my son on 4 November 2020 - a delivery date of the 18 November was advised, the day came and went with no delivery. I then received a call to advised that delivery would take place on the 20 or 21st November, again the days came and went with no delivery. I then received a call to say that delivery would take place on the 26 November- no delivery received. I managed to get hold of the couriers, Pelican Express- they said delivery would happen today, I asked for the drivers phone number so that I could call to check the time to make sure I’m home - the number given just rings, I have called more than 20 times. I called Pelican Express back and told them that if I don’t receive this today I will be opening a case of theft - they rep**** with “ok” - I asked to speak to the manager and was told that no one else is there ????

I tried to call Mr Shopper many times without response, I sent WhatsApp messages with no response and I have received no response.

I guess I have been ****med- sad thing is that I can’t afford to buy another one so no gift for my son.

Is anyone able to offer advise on what route to follow with regards to trying to recover my money ? Has anyone gone to Carte Blanch, seems they have done this to many people?

I guess I should have read all these bad reviews on Mr Shopper before I used them and paid.
