Standard Bank Gross misconduct and improper credit facility

I have been unemployed from April 2016 and have a Standard bank credit card and a credit life insurance on it. I contacted credit life and they paid a lump sum into my credit card account for 3 months. I received a call stating that the account was in arrears and spoke to the manger and that was dropped and credit life paid in another lump sum into my credit card account. I started a new job and called Standard Bank claims department in January and wanted to start paying my account which was still blocked and I could not make payment. It was unblocked and I was told that I needed to make a payment which I did. I received a call a few days later and was told that my account was in arrears because I did not pay my account. I explained to them that credit life did pay my account, but was informed that although they did pay I am still liable to pay every month. Credit life assured me that this should not be the case and that they do not do monthly payments only lump sum payments and standard bank should not be charging me again. I would like to know how does the insurance help me if I am supposed to pay the monthly due amount when I am unemployed. No one seems to try and help and am told that I need to do the full payment. I was not contacted at all from august 2016 only until I phoned in and made a payment did I receive a call about arrears.

I am not happy with the service of Standard bank at the moment and kindly request you to investigate and check the phone records of how many times I called to resolve the matter.

This is what was emailed to Standard bank and had no response to date.

People should be aware that although you have insurance against your credit card with Standard bank they require payment from you when you are unemployed (the Credit life insurance that is sold is a ****)

I am sure there are other people that have or are experiencing the same problem.

You all should be aware
