Unreliable and deceiving

On Saturday, I went to Mr.Price in Greenstone Mall. I saw a pair of shoes that I really really liked but when looking for the price, all of the prices were torn off. Finally after searching nearly their whole shoe collection, I finally found the price and it aid R199.00 So there I was off with the shoes in line waiting to purchase and when I got the full amount of what I had to pay I said "There must be a mistake, the shoes are R199-00 as they say on the pair that I found the price on". She said "No, you need to pay R230-00 because that's what it says on the system". I even proved that the other shoes had the price of R199-00 and she ended up taking it off immediately and said "No, you will pay R230-00 as it doesn't matter what it says on the other pair of shoes". I was shocked because number 1, I was inconvenienced due to having to take my time to find the price of the shoes and 2, it's not my fault that they are wrong on the shoes and right on the system. I then felt so embarrassed because I couldn't pay for my items. So my advice to Mr. Price - pull up your socks. I bet I am not the only one inconvenienced by having to go through what I did. Also, put the actual price on clothing items. Don't tear off the price and let your customers be deceived.
