Unpacked stock

I am very annoyed with Mr price Norkem mall, I literally called Mr price head office to check if the item is available there since the store did not pick up , and they confirmed that the item is there , I took my time during my lunch time to get that item only to find out that Mr price had the stock but has not unpacked it so I couldn’t buy what I was looking for because it was not yet unpacked , and they could not tell me when they were going to unpack the box , so meaning that I went there for nothing how is my fault that I can’t purchase the staff because they unwilling to un pack the boxes , we do not call for stock availability for no reason we call to check stock availability because we want to buy ,no one wants to go the shop for no reason especially in this pandemic patrol and taxi fare is wasted for nothing ,the head office must not confirm what they are not sure of they should at least tell us if the stock is already packed yet, the unpacked story for me is not a sufficient reason I would understand if the stock was not yet received.
