Unnecessarily humiliated by an elderly lady at Mr Price Mahikeng

30min ago I was in Mr Price in Mafikeng Mall. I was with my three girls on the shop floor. I struggled to take out a Jean jacket which was place on the upper hangers. I didn't mind assisting myself since I had realized for over the past 15 years that clients aren't afforded courtesy in Mr Price Mahikeng. It's normal for staff on the floor to sit and chat in a group fully aware we struggle reaching clothes until such time you ask for assistance. The steel rods used to take out clothes are usually out of sight since I don't mind doing it myself. None the less I took out the jacket and put it on my daughter. I didn't think it would cause any harm since I placed it on top on her to fit with her fully clothed in her uniform. I just heard an elderly lady screaming that we don't fit on the floor there are fitting rooms. I do not dispute that I might have cotravened a policy. But I don't approve of being screamed at without respect. I am also mindful of the crimes of shoplifting which I do not condone. It wasnt necessary for the elderly lady whose name I didn't ask for to scream at me in that manner. She even continued to talk in a loud voice after I had quickly removed the jacket from my child and apologized. I then said to her "sorry we heard you it will never ever happen again. Annoyed with being screamed at like an unruly person or a ******** by the elderly lady it was difficult to continue shopping for I was not certain when was I to be screamed at whilst deciding on the clothing items. I should not be misunderstood, the manner in which she approached us is totally unacceptable regardless of the fact that she was doing her job. I am not certain what might have prevented her from walking up to us and letting us know that what I was doing was not allowed instead of screaming at me. I didn't ask her where they had written that certain items require the fitting room. I've never seen the sign and I had no sinister intentions. Me and my mother have had this joint account for 20 years. I never thought I'd be unnecessarily humiliated I that manner.

I do not believe I'd ever walk into that store again in my life.

Please teach your staff members manners.

Edgars is a ghost shop and it used to be on the top at some point!
