Unhelpful and lazy

I ordered some items on the Mr.P website, for pickup at the Adderly Street store in Cape Town some time ago. Not only was the delivery late by 2 days over what the website promised, but the store cashiers were incredibly rough with my package, slamming it ontop of the counter repeatedly to scan the barcode, which had faded into uselessness.

When I returned home I realized that the pair of sunglasses I had ordered were now scratched and bent.

Today I went to return the glasses and 1 item of clothing from that order. I approached the online pickup counter, where I had originally retreived the package. There were two store cashiers standing there chatting to each other. I asked to return the items but was rudely informed that I had to go stand in the queue for normal purchases, which was more than 20 people long. I rep**** that this was originally an online order and I just wished to return the items and was in a very big rush. The cashier then informed me that apparently once I had collected the items, it was no longer considered an online order and I would not be assisted by her or her college.

Now you may notice that I have mentioned that the queue was very long and about 20 people were waiting to be helped, while these two ladies were enjoying a friendly chat.

I was forced to leave the store without having been able to return the items, one of which was damaged by an emplyee of that very store.

Overall, I am seriously underwhelmed with the work ethic of the individual emplyees I had contact with on both occasions and it certainly does not reflect well on the business as a whole. I seriously hope that Mr.P does not endorse rudeness and laziness in their employees and that this is the last time any pachake is handled as if it were absolutely worthless.

My partner will be at the same store later today to return the said items and at the same counter I was so rudely dismissed.

I hope this incident will not be repeated.

I returned to the same Mr.P store on Adderley Str today, to return yet another item that had been delivered already damaged. This makes 3 out of 4 items from our order returned now.

However, I am not writing this reply to complain about the shoddy quality of the clothing of Mr.Price, but because I was once again treated in the exact same way that I had complained about in the first place.

Again, I was rudely informed that I needed to queue in order to return an item from my online order.

I had to raise my voice and was forced to tell the attendant twice that I had already complained about this exact type of treatment, and had in fact been assured that this sort of behavior is unacceptable, before he went to get a different person to assist me.

I will be posting a fotograph, of the assistant that repeated rude treatment, along with a link to this review on twitter and Facebook, as this sort of treatment of customers is truly despicable.

Furthermore, to this day I have not been contacted by any supposed Area Manager, as promised by Mr. Price in their response to my initial complaint.
