The cellphone is not working within 7 days, and they don't want to replace it.
I am not happy with Mr price at soshanguve Crossing. I bought 2 cellphone on friday the 15/09/2023 and today on the 19/09/2023 the other phone is giving me a problem of touching and is within 7 working days when i went to the store they are telling me that they will send it to mtn to check if is faulty or what while the area manager, mavis the store manager and Andrew the assistant they sow it that is not responding fast when we touch some icons and the area manager called mtn for assistance about the settings of the screen sensortouch and he change the settings of touching while the other cellphone that I bought together the setting are still the same so now they say they are not going to give me another cellphone because they are not sure if it's OBF until mtn decides if is faulty or what and the policy on the slip doesn't say all of those things.
It's hard to accept it because I believe Huawei nova y61. All of them need to work on the same settings not other must be activated for the touch screen while the other 1 is not activated. Why?
Hoping you are well.
I would like to lodge a complain regarding two handsets I bought for cash, one of them being non functional (Huawei Nova Y61) handset in Groblersdal mall and I took it to Soshanguve Crossing branch due to the problem it was giving me, that's where I encountered the problem.
Here's a brief story about the incident, the supervisor (Aubrey/Andrew) and store Manager (Mavis) and had a look at the handset and could see the issue at had.
Called for the Area manager to assist and he called Mtn to ask about a few settings as he thought the issue was due to a screen touch setting.
They turned on the screen touch option of which I didn't approve and questioned them why does the other hand set which works just fine without the option being activated??
And they couldn't give me an answer.
The Area manager told me they couldn't give me a new phone.
And wanted to send the phone for an assessment as he doesn't see anything wrong with the phone however he went through the seetings and changed the sensor (why should he change the settings if the phone is fine)
I stated that I can't accept that the phone be sent for an assessment while it's an Out of Box Failure which has less an 7 days after the purchase date.
I requested a new handset as it's a gift and I won't afford to come back and forth to (Groblersdal and Soshanguve).
They stated that the policy doesn't allow for them to assist me, I need to return it to Groblersdal where I bought it.
The Area manager said he doesn't have the powers to make that call.
When I asked for them to show me the policy they are binding me with, they failed to do so.
I was there for about 3 hours without being assisted from 2 pm till they closed.
The rudeness and unwillingness from the area manager to assist me is what makes me disappointed.
I bought the handsets Cash and I had all receipts and they all saw the problem so why should I struggle to get a new phone for an OBF issue.
I am not happy with the service and I'd like the matter to be escalated with a matter of emergency.
Pleaee don't hesitate to contact me for any clarity seeking questions.
Hoping you are well.
