Terrible Customer Service at Mr Price Pavilion

I went into the Mr Price at Pavilion about 2 weeks ago and requested a pair of boots from another store as the Pavilion store did not have the size I needed. I received an sms stating my boots were ready for collection and I went in yesterday at lunchtime to pick up the boots. What followed was a complete failure in terms of customer service. I went to the helpdesk and was directed to the sales point, the cashier had no clue how to assist me so he sent a staff member to call someone from the shoe department. This sales assistant too had no clue regarding my boots as she was not the one who sent my sms. Queries to a system or central point for items requested from other stores were met with, “no such thing”. The sales assistant then suggested I accompany her to the department to search. The first place she suggested we search was the shelf, note the earlier comment about the unavailability of the requested shoe, hence the need for the request……… After gaining the assistance of 2 other staff members, a search finally turned up my boots. I went to the cashier we I spoke to earlier to pay who promptly picked up a call as I stepped up to his till… When I queried if the store had a “help the customer in front of you policy first: I was assured they did not. At this point my patience was gone, I asked to speak to the manager and was presented with a gentleman who was “part of management” position unspecified. I then insisted on speaking to the manager. The manager was pleasant and listened to my complaints and assured me my concerns will be addressed. She also advised that procedures were in place for dealing with items requested from other stores. I sincerely hope she shares these procedures with the 5 staff members I dealt with soon, for the sake of future customers.
