****** phone in the shop

Good day,

On the 20th May 2020 at 16:45pm my and my younger sister visited one of your branches in Northgate Shopping Centre, Johannesburg. The shop was about to close, closing time is 17:00 pm.

We were shopping for shoes and while my sister was fitting the boots she was holding her phone and she put it next to her on the chair that she was sitting on while fitting. We then took the boots and went straight to the lingerie section where we took the underwear that, we did not even take 2 minutes in the section. We then went to the till, where we were second on the queue.

There was a guy in front of us, and we were the only customers left in the shop. We were told that the paying points are not working at that moment and they took our details down so we can come back the following day which is on the 21 May 2020 to complete our purchase.

We went out of the shop and we release that my sister left her phone in the shop shoe department. She immediately went back and the shop was closed already. She was told right there at the door that there was no phone and the staff that was at the door didn't even bother to go and check.

We went back to the shop this morning on the 21 May 2020 at 09:20 am to complete our purchase and to ask if anyone took the phone and keep it for us. We were at till number 1, the guy there called the Supervisor and she came we told her we left a phone yesterday in the store and we definitely sure there were no customers by that time because the shop was about to close we were the last customers with the guy we found at the till.

She called a store manager, and explain the story to him and she was surprised as well because none of the staff came to report the matter to her regarding the lost phone. It was the first she's hearing of it.

The Manager sent us, with the supervisor to the Centre manager to check the cameras of who left the store at that time. And the camaras confirmed that we were the last customer's in the shop with the guy we found at the tills. Then after it showed my at the door asking about her phone and she was turned away, then the staff left.

The phone got lost in the shop where there was only staff!
