After much skepticism i agreed to a contract with a mr price mobile tele sales agent two months ago. In the conversation I was told that should I shop at any of the participating stores to Mr price, I will accumulate points which will be allocated to my cell contract thus reducing the monthly subscription amount. All I needed to do was give the cashier my mobile number at point of sale. Ok well, so my dilemma begins. The cashiers at all the stores ive visited were clueless of the point system and when I contacted customer services I was told to send my invoices for goods, and then got told the points would only be allocated the following month (not due to my negligence). <br> Two days ago I once again made a huge purchase at a mr price store and with me being more informed could guide the cashier through the process on her screen. Alas! I was told my mobile number is invalid! So how is it ok for Mr price mobile to debit my bank account each month for an invalid number?? Oh yes my bank account was debited promptly without fail. I feel that Mr price falsely advertises to sell inferior deals without having put in place measures to back up what was promised. Unacceptable. I want to cancel
