return policy

I have bought clothes for +-R1000 at Canal Walk and one of the items was small and I took it back to the Adderley Street branch and was told I need a receipt to exchange for another item. the item is still in its original condition and this means I will lose money because i lost my receipt and they never told me about the policy. I know when you want money back then it is different. Mr Price needs to review this policy it is really unfair how we get to beg them to exchange their items while we are the consumers.
