RETAINING MY MONEY WITHOUT DELIVERY OF GOODS

On 7 February 2023, I purchased 4 items and made payment by way of a direct transfer of the sum of R489,96. When I received my items on 10 February 2023, there were only 3 items, totalling an amount of R359,97. At no stage was I informed that (a) there was no stock availability of one of the items ordered and paid for; (b) that it would be sent at a later stage, or (c) that a credit would be passed; or in fact any communication whatsoever. Furthermore, the credit of R129,99 that is due to me, that should have been passed immediately, without me having to contact Mr P at all, has not been addressed either or refunded to me. On corresponding with Mr P I received an email advising that they were “creating a refund request” and that I would get a voucher. Firstly why was it only being created at my request – did they simply intend to just keep the additional money, which constitutes theft? Secondly they have offered me a voucher – I don’t want a voucher I want my money refunded. This behaviour is extremely disappointing for a public company does not bode well and I will rethink doing business with them going forward !!!
