Refund issues

I bought clothing at Mr Price Sport Upington, some of the items did not fit & I returned it to the Mr Price Sport Kathu shop on 11 November 2019. The cashier informed me that I cannot get a refund, but I must take a voucher for the amount. I refused & asked if they can't debit my card, which I made the payment with. This was agreed & the transaction was done, however the amount never reflect back in my account. I went back to the store on 24 November 2019, this time the cashier informed me that it is my fault because I never told them that it is a not a credit card. They also did not have money to refund me & head office is not working on a Sunday to assist. I had my bank statement with me, they did not even check that. The response was that I must come back the next day & check if they have money in their register. I insisted that they must phone me when they have money as I am working & staying in a remote area & can't drive there for nothing. They did not make a copy of my slip, to sort out the head office issues, just took my number (which I forced them to take). A lady phoned me this afternoon to say that they have money in the till I can come. My response was that I'm not sure but probably Saturday or Sunday I will come & collect it, when she mumbled something again & when I asked her "sorry what do you say", she said it is fine I can come then. The customer service in Mr Price Sport Kathu is poor & the shop is messy. Really come on Mr Price Sport how do you train your people??? The first day when I went for the refund why was it said that I must take a voucher & cannot get a cash refund? Why can't they refund on a Cheque card & only on a Credit card? My cheque card has been debited by other department stores.
