Poor Service and bad attitude at Mr Price Sandton City

Poor Service at Mr Price – SANDTON CITY

I arrived at the store at 19:55, just five minutes before closing, and politely asked the lady at the door to let me in. The doors were already shut, and although I pleaded nicely, she still refused. I’m not upset about being denied entry,I understand closing times,but I am upset about the attitude and behaviour that followed.

While I was still standing there, bleeding from a small injury, the manager ,a short man, came to the door and told me he couldn’t let me in because his staff lives far and he needed to consider their transportation and commute time. A moment later, both the manager and the lady at the door left their post to go watch gossip outside the store, where a fight was happening outside across from Espresso. So they couldn’t spare a minute to let me in for a quick purchase, but they could walk away from their duties to watch what was going on outside the store???

All I wanted was one pair of shoes, especially after failing to find my size earlier at Mr Price in Balfour. I genuinely feel that if I had been a white woman pointing out that it wasn’t 20:00 yet, the treatment would have been different.

I’m extremely disappointed in the unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from both the manager and the door staff at Mr Price Sandton City. This experience left a very bad impression.
