Poor service

I bought a pair of shoes from Mr Price V&A Waterfront on Friday 2 June 2023, i wore the shoes on Saturday 3 June 2023 going to a funeral. I could not even keep them on for over an hour as they were hurting my toes. i reported this via their chat service online i was told to return the shoe to the store, the manager at V&A told me that she needs to confirm a way forward as they won't be able to sell the shoe again and they can't exchange it, however she will contact me on Monday. To date i have not received any feedback from them, i couldn't understand why they would want to re-sell the shoe instead of sending it back for re-manufacture because clearly there's a fault. ii have been buying shoes at Mr Price and i have never had this problem. i am extremely disappointed.
